Sugar, spice, and everything nice -- these were the ingredients chosen to the perfect little girls, but Professor Utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction: Chemical X! Thus, the Powerpuff Girls were born! Using their ultra superpowers, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup have dedicated their lives to fighting crime and the forces of evil!
Happy 10th Anniversary, Powerpuff Girls!
It's crazy to believe that the show became official 10 years ago, and even crazier for me to believe that I've been a fan for 13 years now -- that's well over 70% of my lifespan! XD Fuck, I was the same age as the PPG when the show premiered on What a Cartoon! The Powerpuff Girls will always be my favorite cartoon and I doubt that it'll ever stop influencing my scribbles. I even bought into the whole merchandising scheme when they got big; I counted my collection once and it soared into the triple digits, which may not seem like much to you, but is horrendous for me, who hardly ever buys anything, ever! (Not even my Wall-E collection is that big, which is just a few posters, the DVD, and bedroom decorations.) My mom still refuses to buy anything PPG for kids and glares at family members who do because "that's [her] Little Raquel's thing," haha.
I am literally bouncing with excitement at the complete DVD boxset coming this January (that first season boxset released forever ago simply was not enough!), not to mention the special! The official anniversary crept up on me, but hopefully by the special I'll have drawn something that is not so hideously off-model and full of suck. xD
I know! It was supposed to air on the same date as the anniversary, but was pushed to Jan 20th, the same day the boxset comes out. I am super excited! :B

The new special, "The Powerpuff Girls Rule" that aired last Monday was awesome. I loved the Mario Kart reference.

That was very nice of you for posting it for their 10th anniversary of the Powerpuff Girls. I missed that show. I don't like the CN crap right now. I'm gonna get that DVD collection very soon.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
