A commission for :iconjohnnyd2: of Peter S. Beagle's unicorn and her human form, Lady Amalthea (I always did prefer her unicorn form...). This is an excellent film; you should watch it if you haven't! I rented it enough times as a kid to drive my mom crazy, and while I managed to pick up the book a few years ago, it's the movie that I'll always cherish. I still think the unicorn is one of the most beautiful creatures to be animated, and I wish I hadn't failed to do her justice here. D: Still getting used to Photoshop 7... the layer effects and filters are so seductive. </3

Didn't mature it because nothing's showing. Feel free to change it if you think it merits a warning, dA admins.

I only read the book *permenantly borrowed from old English teacher*. I never new it was an animated film for a long time XD; still haven't seen it. I prefered her in unicorn form as well.

Ooh, so many books in my collection are "permanently borrowed," haha. I don't remember my preference concerning her two forms in the novel, but I just dearly love her unicorn form, which is so much more beautiful than her human one (I'm so shallow!). Well, her personality did change as she remained human, so I guess that was a turnoff too, but it's mostly just the appearance for me. You should see the movie, though, it's quite lovely~ It was animated by Studio Topcraft, which later basically became Studio Ghibli. :)
