B A S I C S I appreciate your interest in commissioning me!
All commissions are rendered with soft shading and include a simple, abstract background of your choice, unless you request that I leave it blank. Transparent PNGs are available on request. There is a maximum of two characters per request. I will do original characters, canon characters, Gaia avatars, Canon x OC, and pretty much anything else you can find in my gallery. Girls are my specialty.
I will not do pornography (ecchi and nudity is fine), mecha, realism, or detailed backgrounds. I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason.

S T E P S ONE: Requesting a commission
Once you've read the information on this page and have checked that I am open for commissions, you may note me here or e-mail me at rio_ohki250[AT]yahoo.com with the subject line "Commission Request." Your request must include the following:
type of commission that you want (ex: Chibi) reference pictures/detailed description of characters what simple background you would like method of paymentalong with anything else you would like to include. If the commission must be completed by a deadline, please let me know so that I can tell you whether or not I will be able to meet it.
TWO: Approving sketches
If I accept the request, I will begin sketching. I will send you a rough draft(s) so that you can notify me of any alterations I need to make before the inking process.
THREE: Sending payment
After you've approved of the initial sketch, I will send you the necessary payment information.
FOUR: Approving lineart/flats
Once payment has been completed, I will send you lineart and flats previews for any needed alterations. After these, periodic progress shots will be sent your way until I finish the picture.
FIVE: Sending the commission
Via e-mail or note, I'll send you the finished project as a large, un-watermarked .PNG as well as a resized, watermarked PNG or JPG. Then you can do whatever you wish with it except claim it as your own work or use it for profit. ^_^
F A Q How long does it take you to finish a commission?
I only really get to do art-related things on weekends now thanks to college/work, so commissions take at least two weeks or longer depending on the complexity of the commission and my workload. I do my best to work on commissions when I can, but sometimes studies get in the way, so I promise to notify you if there is going to be a delay!
What exactly do I get?
1. A large, un-watermarked PNG for your own personal use.
2. A resized, watermarked PNG or JPG. This is mainly for my archival purposes, but also if you would like to post it on your own website or elsewhere.
Can I have a transparent PNG instead of a background?
Yup, these are available on request.
Can I ask that you not post my finished commission on Suku Suku, DeviantArt, etc.?
Of course, though I do appreciate if you would let me so as to provide reference for future commissioners.
Can I use my finished commission as an avatar, layout, wallpaper, etc?
You can do anything you want with it except claim it as your own work or make a profit off of it.
