With what I've been hearing I think that's what Wal's getting for Christmas, and I think mom's getting me a new monitor. Though I think that's good. my tower IS only a year or so old. and his comp is ancient XD; he could use an upgrade. his precious is already getting issues.

I can relate to money issues. It really sucks >(

ha ha I've never liked social interaction. Though I guess I don't have a fear for it, I just really dislike it. Though I seem to have a knack for bullshitting and I can put on a good show that looks very convincing. even if I don't mean less than half of what I say XD;;; not sure if that's an asset or a vice.

I am still seriously considering the psychology field... but I don't think I'm suited to it. As much as I hate to admit it, I can be very defensive. And keeping up the indifference on a daily basis is near impossible for me. I can take to some things too personally.

<sub>Haha yeah, my laptop was a desktop for like the past two years (nudge it just a bit and it shut off). I think laptops are generally less hardy than desktops, but I like that I can take it places easily, and at this point in my life I'm a whole lot more nomadic than I'd like to be.

I actually perform really well when it comes to public speaking, so sometimes people end up thinking I am exaggerating or just plain lying. :/ I literally made myself sick worrying about it, so I'm just glad it's over. It's funny how so many of the professors I know claim to be rabid introverts or phobic about teaching...! XD

Haha now I kinda wish I had gone into something like engineering or nursing... less school for at least the same money or more. XD But nah.

It's more history and technique about animation than actually animating (sad face!) but I'm still really excited!

*nods* I think they usually are. and have shorter lifespans? and usually not as much space potential?
I'd love to have one because it's portable. That way I'd be able to take it with me when I travel around. And especially for when I go back to the village XD;

ha ha people can't tell when I'm lying or joking half the time |D; either that or they can mistake my jokes for being serious. usually it's not for anything SERIOUS though.

ha ha there is like a huge SURGE of chicks going into nursing here. The horrible thing is they think way to highly of themselves and think they're better than everyone else b/c they're going into nursing. All the chicks going in to be social workers are the same. Though I know doctors and nurses are in demand... social workers tend be be getting laid off rather than having more jobs open up for them XD;
I also thought about going into pharmaceuticals. Not as much schooling as Vet or Doctor, but still good pay. My Bio teach was in pharmaceuticals. he said it's good work for good pay.

Ah, but you usually take those before getting into the actual practice in higher level courses don't you? I'd love to take history and technique |3

XD; yeah. Wal only noticed it once. he reached over and started tugging on it and playing with it. I was wondering wtf he was doin'. Then I told him about it and how I usually just pluck it out XD
it hasn't come back yet, well, it's not LONG enough for me to notice it anyway |D I usually notice it when it's hanging down near my eye and it starts irritating me by either getting too close or just being in my vision and flitting around with changes in air flow around me XD

If it makes you feel any better, information CAN be retrieved off a laptop. Mine was acting up the other day and my hubby popped out my hard-drive, wired it into his computer and moved all the important stuff over before trying to fix my laptop.

So, yeah, find yourself a computer person (although I don't suggest a store because they're shifty...) and there you go! Bob's your uncle!

A laptop I had just did that. I think that means the motherboard is bad. That's what the people at the one store told me was wrong with my system... that means the hard drive is likely fine and can have the data pulled off it! Though I have little point in that because in my case I had nothing unique on the drive anyway.

Ahh, that's an annoying situation ... I feel for you. It's harder to replace components in a laptop. Hope you won't have to wait too long for the replacement though.

I posted online and was told by several people it was most likely a problem with the power jack (and that, at worst, the motherboard might have gotten fried as well). Hm... I should find the repair shops near me and see if they say the same thing, if only to find out which ones I can count on in the future.</sub>

_{Nope, it actually came in two days after I ordered it (even though I only paid $2 for 3-7 day shipping... huh!). Suuu happy! There were plenty of computers on campus to do schoolwork on in the meantime, but I have no idea how anyone gets anything done in those labs... I got so distracted, not to mention I'm used to getting the majority of my work done after midnight. ;}
