Through a series of very fortunate events, I was able to start up my old laptop long enough to transfer everything onto an external hard drive and then onto the new laptop! 
Still keeping the old one in case it can be fixed someday, though apparently it won't boot into anything other than Safe Mode without crashing, so it'll need a liiiittle more TLC than I anticipated. XD;
Went home for fall break, which meant doing lots of nothing as I got over my cold; however, I did get to see 9, for which I had been waiting quite some time now. I liked how some of the concepts from the original short made it into the film. Lots of neat little ideas they had. Also, Astro Boy this month! I've been more than a little apprehensive about it for the years that it's been in production, namely because it's ASTRO BOY Imagi is attempting to live up to, and also because I just didn't really like what they did with TMNT... :< I hope it does well, if only because they're tackling Gatchaman next... or should I say, Eagle Riders!

Never saw 9, probably should since everyone's still talking about it. I'm looking forward to Astro Boy though, the animation looks solid and the voice actors aren't half bad.
Also, thank you very much for sharing that short film, loved it from start to finish.
9 got mixed reviews, but I personally liked it a lot -- I just wish the story was able to match the amazing aesthetics they had going. From what little previews I've seen of Astro Boy, it looks like Imagi has really progressed with their animation since TMNT, so I'm glad for that. My parents are looking forward to it too, but then, they grew up on the original b&w show.
Yay! I am very glad you enjoyed it! I really loved the composition and color of so many scenes... and their use of cat characters didn't bother me one bit, haha.

Mhm, the effects looked really cool, I never saw TMNT, but yes, I was pretty impressed with what I've seen so far. My dad used to watch the original show as well, so he'll probably see it too.
Oh yes, the colors really helped set the mood, that and the music. Plus, who doesn't like cats?
Awesomesauce! It's so bizarre to think that fifty-odd years down the road it could be us going to see a "vintage" Pokemon remake or something!
